Hi, everyone! Welcome to the new Cooper and Me blog. I am Alexa Peters, and I illustrate the books. I just turned 13 on September 23^rd, and I'm in the 7th grade. No surprise that I love art and drama, but would you guess that I like science, too?? Go figure. My hobbies other than my passion for art are kickboxing, soccer, and spending time with my dogs, Cooper and Bella, and my friends. I've always loved to draw from the time I could hold a pencil in my hand. Drawing has always been a great way for me to express myself and share my perspective on just about anything.
 
A preschool class recently asked me about being an illustrator and how it works. My mom and I are working on another new book, no title yet. First we develop a story line, and then I start to sketch out pictures of Cooper and the other characters in the story. This is the fun part and most enjoyable for me because I get to share with other kids the funny and silly things that Cooper does. He always makes me laugh, and he is truly one of the funniest and lovable dogs you could meet. With my mom's help I can share with other kids some of the experiences that I've had in the hopes that they can help others.
